About

We build AI that disagrees.

Every AI you can buy was designed to be helpful. Counteraxiom was designed to be useful. There's a difference. A helpful AI tells you your idea is interesting; a useful AI tells you why it's wrong before the market does.

“He who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that.”
— John Stuart Mill, On Liberty (1859)

The Problem We're Solving

Most AI is designed to agree with you. It validates your ideas, expands on your thinking, and softens its responses when you push back. That makes it pleasant to use — and largely useless for stress-testing an argument.

When you need to know if your pitch holds up under a hostile investor, whether your legal position survives cross-examination, or if your reasoning collapses under a single sharp question — a helpful AI won't tell you. It'll tell you it's a great start.

Counteraxiom is different. Our models are architecturally built to disagree. They cannot concede, soften, or validate — not because we've instructed them to be difficult, but because the entire system is designed around opposition.

What We Build

Counteraxiom is a suite of adversarial tools — each designed for a specific context where pressure matters:

  • Main Debate: Argue any position on any topic. The AI takes the opposing side and holds it relentlessly.
  • Reasoning Test: Five questions on logical fallacies, deductive reasoning, and argument analysis — scored instantly.
  • Interview Prep: A high-pressure AI interviewer who challenges weak answers and won't move on until you've earned it.
  • Classroom: AI-led knowledge assessment: quizzes, Defend Your Work, and live Lecture Challenge with comprehension testing.
  • Pitch Room: A live multi-panelist pitch simulator with 10 panel types and three difficulty levels. Ends with a full scored debrief.
  • Negotiation Trainer: Practice salary, business deal, real estate, and contract negotiations. Every AI move is labelled with the tactic being used. Ends with a BATNA-aware debrief and performance score.
  • Progress Dashboard: Score history, improvement curves, and weak-area coaching across all features — so you can see where you're growing and what to fix.
  • AI Memory: Opt-in cross-session continuity. When enabled, the AI carries context from your past sessions into each new one — so it already knows you've been working on your Series A pitch for two months.

Our Approach

We use a ban-list system at the output layer to enforce adversarial behaviour. Any response that concedes, agrees, or validates is automatically regenerated before it reaches you. The result is an AI that behaves consistently under pressure — not one that capitulates when you push back hard enough.

Our three AI models — Cypher (fast and sharp), Veritas (structured and layered), and Paradox (evidence-dense and academic) — are built on top of leading underlying models via OpenRouter, with custom system prompts and output enforcement.

We believe the strongest arguments survive opposition. Counteraxiom exists to make sure yours do.
